Users are unable to access all government and many private websites of the country. The controlling organization Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited (BTCL) is not able to say what is the reason for this problem.
It is known that the websites which end with dot gov, dot bd, dot bangla or dot com dot bd are controlled from BTCL’s servers. These sites cannot be opened. The websites of all the ministries of the country are made with these domains. As a result, users cannot access them.
BTCL’s dot bd domain service is down from 8:40 am today due to technical glitch. However, the .Bangla domain service is operational as usual. The technical team is working to resolve the issue. It is hoped that the service will be launched very soon. BTCL authorities sincerely apologize for the temporary inconvenience caused to the esteemed customers due to the disruption of various government and private websites as a result of the dot bd domain service shutdown.
